CALLING ALL AERIAL PERFORMERS!!

We are looking for talented aerial dancers from all over the local community (between Denver and Colorado Springs) OR anyone who wants to come join us for a performance!!!

We would like to put together new work for a show in November 2026 (tentative dates Nov 13-14). We have just received word that we've been awarded a small grant to help make this a reality. What we need now are people who want to be a part of the dream.

What we are looking for: Aerialists who love performing, who are highly reliable. They must show up to any required rehearsals (online or live) and be in attendance live for the shows. They must be ready to be on top of all correspondence regarding the various show-planning stages, replying to emails promptly. They must have plenty of experience performing previously and have people standing by waiting to say how amazing they are to work with!

We are looking especially for sling and silks acts, but love seeing the variety outside of these two as well! We are hoping to have some duets, and some solos. The emphasis for our November show will be on highlights from cultures/holidays from around the world, so if you have a background in a different culture from another country, please let us know! We would love to highlight that in this show. If you do not have experience from another culture, we hope that you will be excited to learn more about another culture to help highlight that in your piece.

What would be expected: For our experienced guest performers, you need to send in a video of your tentative act by July 15th. This would include music, and at least a third of your piece so that we have a good feel for the piece. A live rehearsal would be held on the Saturday before the show, but if you are a long-distance performer, you can send in a video of your full act in lieu of this rehearsal.

About AerialWorks & This November Show: Our local aerial community is loving, welcoming and wonderful. We produce these kinds of shows annually in a family-friendly environment, welcoming all ages and backgrounds into our productions and audience.

Benefits: We have a small allotment of money from the grant to reward guest artists for their time investment. Each guest will receive a stipend of some sort that might fall into one of these categories:
(1) stipend for a tailor-made costume or...
(2) rebate for rehearsal time and space or...
(3) paid time for choreography designed by Rebekah Leach or...
(4) paid to perform as the professional performer you are!

Some will come to gain performing experience; some will come to develop a new creative work with Rebekah Leach; others will come with their professional expertise. Please let us know your desires and expectations when you complete your application.

If you are at the top professional level, bringing your own unique work for this show, including a costume that fits the theme of the show and can provide a COI for the event, please let us know your expected pay. We have a few spots reserved especially for this.

To Apply: Please send us the following to [email protected]:

(1) a video of your work and what apparatus you would like to work on for the show.
Preferably, this would be a video of a full-length piece you have performed in the past, but could also be a link to clips on a facebook or instagram account, displaying your skill level.

(2) your personal goals through this partnership
Are you a professional looking for a paid position? Are you looking for an opportunity to design new choreography with an outside eye? Are you looking for performing experience and feedback on the process to develop your budding skills? Are you looking for community and the joy of performing with an amazing group of people? Please tell us your top goals you are seeking in this position.

(3) please tell us your time commitment
If you are local, please let us know when you could possibly meet up for a few rehearsals. Note: We typically use Fridays and Saturdays or Tuesday and Thursdays.
If you are long-distance, please let know what days/times you could meet through zoom to discuss the plan for putting together your unique piece. Be ready to send in video-progress so that we can see how the choreography is coming along. Commitment the week of the show: You would fly in the week of the show and perform 4-5 shows total throughout Friday and Saturday.

(4) Lastly, we will need a recommendation from someone who has worked with you in the past. Please send contact information for your reference.

Positions are open until filled. We are looking to solidify the entire cast by summer 2026.

SEND TO: [email protected]
We look forward to hearing from you!
