ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS
At AerialWorks, we like to operate with the school year, August-May. We are typically closed June & July. We opened in 2016 at a larger facility, where we offered many aerial disciplines. We have simplified and now offer only sling and silks in our smaller program. Because our program is much smaller, every class feels more like a semi-private lesson, and lessons are geared very much to the individuals who are dedicated to the program.
In the first semester (Aug-Dec), we focus heavily on the growth of skills, technique, strength and flexibility. In the second semester (Jan-May), we focus on creativity, sequencing, musicality, stamina, stage presence and the performance aspect of aerial. We hold an annual (optional!) showcase in May. Students who have been in the year-long program will have the opportunity to perform and show off their pieces to friends & family.
Pending availability, we accept new students year-round. The first task for any new course is to acquaint you to the sling or the silks, which are the two apparatuses we specialize in. A usual schedule at the studio starts at 4 or 5pm in the afternoon, and we run classes every hour for various age groups, such as 8-12, 13-18, and adults, although ages may mix, especially at the higher levels. We also separate by level. We have two main levels at the moment: (1) beginner and (2) intermediate-advanced.
Our intermediate-advanced students are those who have learned their way around an apparatus enough to learn all sorts of new skills, such as drops, climbs, new inverts, wraps, etc. Please anticipate at least one year of aerial to achieve this level. We recognize that everyone has strengths and points-of-growing-improvement, so we do not try to get everyone to do the same thing or achieve certain markers, although there are some big milestones in the life of every aerial journey. Valuing the community over the curriculum, we let the challenges unfold each class depending on who is in the class and how much energy they bring to the class. Please watch some clips below to see what kinds of things past AerialWorks students have accomplished.
We are a very loving, supportive fitness community. We cheer each other on, from the success of your first inversion to the success of your 50th performance piece. :)
We love to see new students who thought that they could never do a pull-up or do anything "as crazy as aerial" completely transform and be flying after a year or two through our program. Dedication pays dividends deeply at our studio.

About the name: AerialWorks
The name AerialWorks has dual meaning. The first meaning has to do with creating aerial works-or-art. At the heart of our studio is our quarterly productions (Oct, Dec, Mar & May). We create opportunities for students to be a part of performances, as well as invite guest artists to come debut new and innovative aerial work. We love exploring how aerial art can be used in fun ways to create entertaining shows.
The second meaning is derived from a sustainability perspective. Doing aerial works. Meaning it works and is effective in creating a body that is strong and well-rounded. Aerial will strengthen your body in every way imaginable. After several dedicated years, you are guaranteed to be able to do pull ups and have the strongest core imaginable, all the while just having fun doing it! This low-impact, brain-working, empowering, motivating, absolutely-addicting work will never fail to put anyone in the best shape of their life. And this is why aerial works. It's a life-long art form to study even if solely for fun and fitness.

"Loved it! Great addition to Castle Rock, and unlike anything else we have. Aerial yoga is a great challenge and really gets you out of your comfort zone in a fun way!"
- Mary Bertke
"Such a great place to get some good exercise while having fun. Everybody who works there is fantastic. Definitely something for everyone, too. Highly recommend giving it a try!"
- Crissy Howard
"AerialWorks in Castle Rock is one of the, if not THE, cleanest, nicest, and well stocked studios I have visited. Excellent rigging, ample therabands, foam rollers etc, and tons of new mats for safety are just a few things to boast about here. Rebekah Leach has so much knowledge and it shows in how the studio is set up and run. There is such a great focus on choreography as well as safely learning new skills and I find that balance important for budding aerialists. If you are in the area you will definitely want to check it out!"
- Constance Echo Palmer
"Gotta go see just one performance. You'll never understand the effort it takes until you have someone in it."
- Dave Heath
"With a big Birthday coming up I just wanted to laugh and try something new with my friends so I booked a private class on a Friday evening. The 8 of us had such a great time. Rebekah was a wonderful teacher and was patient with our giggles and silliness. I'm sure an actual class is more focused than we were. I look forward to trying one and checking out a performance soon."
