WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Are you a newer aerial teacher looking to gain some experience under the guidance of a Master Teacher?
Or perhaps you are seasoned instructor looking for a fresh place to gain new inspiration?
Or you have been wanting to open your studio and looking for the right mentor to help teach you the ropes?
This might be the perfect program for you!
We'd love to have you as a guest teacher in our space.
This program is designed to be a temporary work-trade environment in which you are teaching classes in exchange for mentorship training for yourself to become a better instructor and a better aerialist. OR This program operates as a way for a seasoned teacher to get away for some fresh inspiration before returning to home-base.
Some of the benefits of being here as a Teacher-in-Residence includes having access to training spaces, equipment, and promotional support for piece creation, development, rehearsal and performances. In exchange, you become representatives of the AerialWorks community as well as the Born to Fly Teacher Support Program, fueling our community with creative juice and inspiration.
Timeframe for Residency:
One Semester (~5 months) or both (10 month)

Timeframe for Residency:
One Semester (~5 months) or both (10 month)
- Aug-Dec (done before Christmas)
- Jan-May
Prerequisites:
- Must have completed a Born to Fly Teacher Training Program (minimum 50 hours). OR
- Have at least two years of aerial teaching already established.
- Be happy to work with a variety of age groups: kids (ages 8+), teens and beginning adults.
- Be ready to take on a full class load of 10 classes/week (which typically take place 4:30pm-9pm Mon-Thurs) with a variety of apparatuses.
- Have a great attitude, ready to grow, adapt and learn new things.
What AerialWorks provides:
- Housing if needed, 5 miles from the studio (one bedroom basement apartment) ($1000/month value)
- 4 Hours of Private Teacher or Personal Training with Rebekah Leach weekly ($1400/month value!)
- Space for act creation/development and personal training for the duration of the residency. (a studio this clean, open and free -- priceless).
- Payment for hours worked above the trade agreement. Hourly rate depends on your background and experience. Can work up to 20 hrs/week above the trade agreement.
